Lin Wang
Born in Liaoning, China
Lives & works in Boston, Massashussetts.
A body is not a unified stasis, shrouded by an intact piece of skin, and buried at the tombstone with an engraved name and a fixed identity as a result of social taxonomy. It stretches, ties, tangles, embraces, and seeks affinity with other floating beings. My artwork exposes this disturbing phenomenon of body transformation in a post-human society, where the boundaries between human and animal, organism and machine, physical and non-physical have been ceaselessly breached.
Driven by its own mechanical dynamics and intelligent system, each of the machines would own its unique position to present a sexualized speciality. My works also have the focus on the interactions between machines and audience.
